We invite expressions of interest from anyone wanting to support and contribute to the implementation of the Mauri Mate Framework. The Framework is designed by Māori for Māori and provides guidance and recommendations for hospices and other health services involved in end of life care for Māori

Our Hospice Taranaki Kaimahi Team have developed an implementation plan and working plan from those recommendations which will focus on five rau (priorities); Cultural Competence, Visibility within the Community, Connections with Māori, Resource Development and Care Provision

The role of the Advisory Group will be to represent and apply a tikanga Māori and community advisory voice to the activities of HTI kaimahi in the implementation of the Mauri Mate Framework. The Group will ideally include a mix of Hospice Taranaki Staff and members of the Community, Māori and Non-Māori. The work of the group will be underpinned by the principles of person and whānau centric approaches, tikanga Māori, community engagement, health equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
