Te Kāhui o Taranaki Trust (the Trust) is the PSGE entity established to receive and manage the Treaty settlement assets of Taranaki Iwi. It replaces the former Taranaki Iwi Trust.
Nominations are now being called to fill a casual vacancy for one Trustee of the Taranaki Iwi Trust due to a recent resignation. The successful candidate will serve a term of 2 years, which will expire at the 2023 AGM.
Nominations must be made on an official nomination form and close at 5pm on Monday 31 May 2021.
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set out in rule 2.1 of the Second Schedule of the Trust Charter. Those eligibility criteria are outlined on the nomination form.
The Trust will give further notification of the election process after nominations have closed.
All adult members of Taranaki Iwi can participate in the trustee election. If you have whānau who are not registered with Taranaki Iwi but wish to participate in the trustee by-election please contact the Trust office on 0800 835 2484 (0800 Te Kāhui) or the Independent Returning Officer on the free phone election helpline 0800 666 031, to request a registration form.
