We have had a great response to our upcoming Taranaki Iwi kaupapa – Rā Tiripoua on 20-21 February in Ōpunakē. Here are some additional updates for you:
Our online registration form has been designed to capture all details required from whānau attending Tiripoua 2021. If you’re 18 years old or over, you’ll need to complete the registration form that can be found in the link here.
If you have tamariki under 18 coming you are able to register them in your online.
SPORTS & ACTIVITIES
Sports and activities are available for all age groups. To participate in one of the below sports/activities please indicate in your online registration.
- Basketball (mixed)
- Netball (mixed)
- Touch Rugby (mixed)
- Tennis (doubles)
- Squash (singles)
- Pāhake Games (60 years and over)
Whānau who have indicated to participate in a sport will be put into teams by way of marae/pā affiliation (as per your online registration).
Teams will be made up by the following Taranaki Iwi Marae/Pā groupings:
- Oākura Pā (Okorotua Marae) & Puniho Pā (Tarawainuku Marae)
- Te Niho o Te Atiawa (Parāhuka Marae), Toroānui Marae & Te Paepae o Te Raukura (Takitūtū Marae)
- Te Pōtaka Pā & Orimupiko Marae
Activities for Tamariki (5-9 years):
- Sack Race
- Three-leg race
- Bouncy Castle
Activities for Tamariki (Under 5 years):
- Bouncy Castle
- Games and activitIes
ACCOMODATION – TE PŌTAKA PĀ
Accommodation is available at Te Pōtaka Pā on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th February 2021. Space is also available to pitch up a tent. If you would like to stay, please indicate this in your online registration.
